College Essays
Your child has the activities, grades, and a spreadsheet of their colleges of interest. You’re almost there, but the college essay is looming. Writing the Common App essay does NOT have to be a grueling process—not when your child and I work together! As a teacher with over 15 years experience, someone who has worked with many students on both college essays and essays for specialized schools, and a parent of a high school senior myself, I can help take the angst out of the writing process and even make it—dare I say—enjoyable. I will work with your child at all stages of the process—from brainstorming to revising—to create a piece that truly showcases their unique voice and strengths. The final product will not only get a college’s attention but will leave your child with a sense of pride and accomplishment. ($80/hour; Typically requires 3-5 one-hour sessions).
